Description
Up for auction is a charming collection of De Porceleyne Fles small bud vasesThe date codes on two of them are CD and CJ which correspond to 1959 and 1965. The date code on the third (the tear bottle) is not legible, but it seems to be very old.
They are in wonderful condition, having absolutely no cracks, chips, or repairs. They do have some minor crazing, as is normal with all De Fles items of this age, which only adds to their vintage charm.
Two of the vases sell for 95 euros = 5, each, on the Royal Delft online store. The tear bottle sells for €99 = 0
They are about 3 inches tall.
Founded in 1635, De Porceleyne Fles (The Porcelain Jar or Bottle) is Holland’s most famous Delft Blue factory. Of the dozens of original 17th century Dutch pottery makers, only De Porceleyne Fles remains in operation. Collectors know that delftware produced by De Porceleyne Fles, (also known as Royal Delft,) is recognized to be the standard against which all delftware is judged. Each piece is coded with the factory mark, an item number, the artist's initials, a date code.
I only ship within the U.S. due to exorbitant international shipping costs.
